May Meeting - Tribute to Val Gilmour

Friday the 7th of May 2010 was an outstanding day for the group with Val Gilmour, a founding member of the Bunbury Felters, being made a Life Member.

Along with the Certificate, Val Gilmour was presented with a book containing felt cards made by members of the group.

Val Hornibrook had created the book cover.

In close up -

Bunbury Felters are rich with the history of Australian Felting.  Val's Book includes Felt Cards from other "long term" felters -

Party time followed with lunch and celebratory cake -

Val H gives Val G some precise instructions re how to cut cake.

She's a little nervous!

Is there a Chippendale in there?

Val H takes over.

What a great day.  Thank you Val Gilmour from all the Bunbury Felters.

The May meeting will be a Dyeing Workshop.

There are two great books in the library on dying if you want to continue experiments at home.

Should be a great day.
