17 Bunbury Felters packed up there cars for a 3 day weekend camp away in Augusta, Western Australia. This is our annual event where each member attending did a mini workshop and look at the results WOW. Great company, lots of chat, wonderful food and wine and 3 days of fabulous felting.
Bunbury ladies did a workshop with Pam Hovel from Raw Edge Textiles - we all made a top to fit in her special techniques of felting with rouching. Some will be dyed in there own method of eco or coloured dyes maybe leaving it white - well done everyone and thank you Pam for showing us your beautiful garments from your Raw Edge Textile collection.
This weekend is the Annual Fire, Fibre & Fine Arts Exhibition open Saturday 10-4pm with a Art to Wear Fashion Parade with afternoon tea and entertainment. Sunday open 10-4pm. ALL Welcome. Displays of art work, ceramics, knitwear, felt, jewellery, bead work, machine embroidery. You only have today and tomorrow to see this wonderful annual event by the members of the art centre so come down to the Stirling Street Arts Centre, Stirling Street, Bunbury
Early September a 160 feltmakers attended the 12th Southern Hemisphere Felting Convergence which is held every 2 years. Five days of tutorials from attendees, international tutors. Was a great event enjoyed by all.
