Lots of flat pieces were on display at our July meeting. Some were samples from workshops, some pieces for our up coming Take a Seat Exhibition.
Gloria's sample from the past.
Gloria's early felting.
The above are all Lorraine's samples made at a recent Catherine O'Leary workshop run by FeltWest

At the June meeting Julie spent the day setting out this scarf using a needle-felted pre-felt. As you can see it has a circle theme.
The problem is Julie's not happy with how it has turned out. She thinks it's too plain.
Any ideas on what should happen next?

Brenda's jacket at Friday's Show and Talk was much admired.
It’s an example of how to reinvent your clothing by transforming the things already in our wardrobes that we just don’t wear.
Brenda has added some pieces of felt to a plain black jacket.
This is a small detail added to the jacket side.
The view of the back – lovely collar.
And again looking at the detail – a unique button treatment.
If you like these ideas you will enjoy the Fashion Incubator workshop that Brenda is running on how to reinvent your wardrobe using clever tricks like these. The workshop is on Saturday 10th July at Milligan House Bunbury from 1pm to 4pm and costs just $22. Don't worry, it is designed for people with limited or no sewing skills! Ring 9726 2647 to book.
