CHRISTMAS FAIR

The annual Christmas Fair is nearly upon us - Sunday 1st December at the Stirling Street Art Centre - Bunbury Felters will have a stall made up of scarves, hats, bags, wraps, eco dyed felted garments and books.

This weekend is the Annual Fire, Fibre & Fine Arts Exhibition open Saturday 10-4pm with a Art to Wear Fashion Parade with afternoon tea and entertainment. Sunday open 10-4pm. ALL Welcome. Displays of art work, ceramics, knitwear, felt, jewellery, bead work, machine embroidery.  You only have today and tomorrow to see this wonderful annual event by the members of the art centre so come down to the Stirling Street Arts Centre, Stirling Street, Bunbury

The autumn challenge is handbags the categories are:

• Glamour Puss - stretch your creative vibes - this bag is for that special event.
• 7 Days a Week - this bag will take you from town to country.
• Recycled - use your wildest imagination to recycle your trash into a handbag.  Upcycled unique fashion piece.

At the fair there will be stalls for you to peruse on the day - a felt stall of course. Also remember to vote for your favourite bag on the day between 10.00am - 3.00pm.

Its on again the Annual Fire Fibre & Fine Arts Exhibition 2012.  Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5th, 6th & 7th October 2012.  Opening times 10.00am-4.00pm.  The Official Opening is 6th October at 2pm followed by a fashion parade some of which our members have entered. Featuring an Art & Craft exhibition with entertainment and light refreshments.  Entry is FREE so come along and support the Stirling Street Art Centre.

More Hats

There were over 35 hats on display at the Stirling Street Arts Centre's Decorated Hat Challenge - many of them felt.  Well done to everyone who entered the competition.

The results were fabulous with 5 of the 7 awards going to the felters!

Winner of the Elegant Garden Party Category was  "Fashion Passion" by Brenda Warner.
