More Collars

Jean ran a Stirling Street Arts Centre Autumn Workshop on making collars recently.  It was a huge success and lots of "none felters" turned up to have a go.

The results were great and Jean's comment was that "she realised what a wonderfully forgiving fibre felt is"!!! 

Well having seen the results of the workshop we think that everyone did wonderfully and showed what an easy fibre felt is to work with.  Look at this wonderful creation by Geraldine Peterkin.

It's decorated with roses - Geraldine's birth flower and very appropriate for an avid gardener (her Ferguson Valley garden will be open again later this year so you can check out her talents).

Thanks for sharing Geraldine, it is lovely.

July Meeting Show & Talk

Thank you to everyone who brought  in their felt creations for our show and talk session.  It is wonderful to see what members have been up to.

July Meeting

Many thanks to Maureen who gave us a great talk and workshop on felting with alpaca.

Everyone  loved the alpaca tales (no pun intended) and enjoyed experimenting with the wool these gorgeous animals produce.
