February Meeting - Gorgeous silks in use

Wow, the felting room at Stirling Street Arts Centre was absolutely buzzing on the first Friday of February as we gathered for the first felting of 2012.

The project was making a seamless garment and despite it being a fairly large task everyone found some space and got felting.

Gorgeous silk

Two pairs of hands make it felt faster

Maureen's bound to be including alpaca in hers.

More joint work  - Emma and Louise a rollin

Fabulous to see so many new members at the meeting, they did really well.

Here's a well pregnant Emma trying on her still wet top.  Just the thing to provide some personal air conditioning to combat the heat of pregnancy in out hot summer weather. (Sorry about the shadow in this photo - she really doesn't have a flat head: trust us, if baby takes after mum he/she will be gorgeous)!!

Here's the detail from the shoulder area.  The stunning piece of silk really was displayed to its best advantage in this top.

Here's Robyn's stunning full length piece of blue silk enriched with the grey merino wool.

Thank you again to Kim for bringing us the project.
